I just recently became the owner of a 2009 Mac mini and I have a question google can’t seem to solve, besides getting all new parts. I want to replace all the foam baffles inside this mini as some have gotten sticky or flattened or etc but I can’t find any place that shows me at least what they look like new. I need to at lest know where I can get the foam so I can trim it myself and improve the airflow through my mini. It seems the video/northbridge chip isn’t getting enough air accross it and is running 70c most of the time. Any help on at least where the foam goes, how thick it should be, and any other info is appreciated.

iFixit teardown offers some clues - see steps 10, 12, and 13 for the foam arc on top (bottom) of the fan casing, and steps 15 to 17 for the rectangular foam next to the CPU(?) cooler:

As side view of the foam arc is shown in step 8 of https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Mac+mini+Model+A1283+Terabyte+Drive+Replacement/660

Check also their overview page on the 2009 Mac mini at https://www.ifixit.com/Device/Mac_Mini_Model_A1283
