Mac Mini 2009 Daisy chain via Displayport 1.2?

Just received my U2715H today, connected to my Mac Mini 2009 via display port and it worked like a charm. Loving the monitor right now and I'm thinking to purchase the it's little brother the U2415.

My question is do you guys know if I can daisy chain the two monitor via displayport 1.2? The U2715 has the MST displayport out. I can't find any information about the version of the Mac mini 2009 displayport 1.1 or 1.2? However, I have enabled DP1.2 function on the U2715 and it seems like its working fine (not sure if that means anything). My research is telling me that it should be doable, but I just want to check with you guys.

So I'm thinking of doing: Mini <----displayport out/in----> U2715 <----disportport out/in----> U2415.

If that doesn't work I suppose I can also get a adaptor and do Mini-DVI to HDMI.

After getting my 2012 Mini, I bought two 24" Dell U2415's. Since the DP ports are there I first tried Daisy chaining the second U2415 via DP from 1st to HDMI on the second U2415 (using supplied mini DP to DP cable). It would only mirror the first monitor, not allowing dual desktop. So I changed to power the second monitor directly from the Mini via HDMI to HDMI. Works great. There is a ≈ 1 second delay for second screen to activate coming out of sleep (tapping a key).

I had not expected daisy chain to work because I read it ONLY works if you have two thunderbolt displays to do this. But hey, I had to invest 2 mins to confirm it.

Thanks, I might end up just have to get a adapter and power it from the computer directly. I really like the daisy chain idea. I'm really enjoy the fact that with the new monitor I can do mini displayport to displayport. I don't need an extra adapter and connect them via the thick DIV cable.
