Hi,

I have a mac mini from 2009 and recently it started having problem booting up. It got to the point where when i start to turn it on, a bar appears that start filling up. The bar never fully loads up and the mini turns off again.

I dont have a mac keyboard, so im not sure how to run disk utility or what to do in general.

Any advice?? Thank you a lot.

First thing you can do when Mac boots is backup. Then erase your hard drive and reinstall OS.

First thing to try is run a combo update. Clean install is kind of rough.

Cmd-R is only usable if you did a Lion or later install on the Mini. This one came with Snow, and if you still run that the Combo update is the thing to check. Command-R won't work then.
