Hello,

Sold my Mac Pro a wile back and purchased a 2010 mac mini.
I did a full reinstall and once I started installing the CD with bundled applications that came with the mac mini it tells me it take around 1hour and 50 minutes to install??

On the Mac Pro took like 3 minutes top.

Is there more software on the mac mini bundled cd?

The slim ODD in the Mac mini is slower than the one in the Mac Pro, and the bundled applications include iLife, which should take a while, but not 1h50m.

Hi thanks for help.
Now there is like 6 minutes left. It originally showed 1h and 50m but looks like it's moving faster then it shows ont he timing.

yes that is common.

if it was way slower then the 1 hr 50 min like 3 or 4 hours, it would mean a bad hdd or a bad optical drive.

since it did it in 45 - 50 minutes most likely all is well.
