I recently updated my mac mini to this software version thinking that like the rest of the updates it would be good for my machine. Fast forward 24 hours macrumors is telling me people are having problems with this. I haven't had that much of a problem. The only thing is that my mac doesn't remember my 20 tabs when i restart. Should i be in a complete frenzy to buy a external hard drive because i will lose all my information? it hasn't happened yet, but does that mean it won't? or is it just waiting for the right time for a kernel panic while I'm working on something?

if you do not have a clone of your hard drive you are always asking for trouble. i have been running my mac mini with full software updates but I have 2 backups of the hdd.

This is no brainer. You should be backing up your files or creating a clone of your HDD regardless of whether you have a problem or not.
