Hi there, wondering if anyone has any suggestions as im literally about to start pulling my hair out.
I used to have 2 hard drives in my system, 1) the orginal 500gb and the i added a second 1tb SSHD.
Now i didnt really need all that space as all my movies are on an external so i thought id swap the SSHD out for a Samsung 840 evo.
So it arrived this morning and so I swapped it out and booted back up. Formatted it in disc utility then downloaded the mavericks installer. Launched the installer, it got about 3/4 of the way through the install then spazed out and said it couldnt installed for some non specific reason (I did this a second time, results were the same). I thought it was odd so i took the SSD back out and plugged it into an external enclosure. Booted back up and managed to install perfectly. Thought this is great! plugged it back internally, booted up, didnt want to do anything.
I then didnt know if the install on my standard 500gb HDD was interfering with it so i formatted it blank and tried again (this is all the while running the SSD back out in the external enclosure), turned it off and put the SSD back inside... same problem.
Literally dont know what else to try. Im currently running the os with the ssd in the enclosure but this is no long term solution as its literally roasting up my computer. So yeah some suggestions would be well recieved.
Kind regards
Luke
EDIT: I also tried doing it via internet recovery, i would format it fresh with disc utility then everytime it finished downloading it would just go back to the recovery start screen. This gets pretty frustrating after downloading it three times!
