Mac mini 2014, remove flash storage?

Greetings,

I have a mac mini 2014 with 1TB Fusion Drive. I want to remove those two hard disks completely and insert 1TB SSD in there that I already own. I know I don't have to remove the flash drive, but I'm giving it to my friend since I really don't need it at all.

Is it possible to remove the flash drive? Is it glued in in any kinda way?
I have opened a lot of minis in the past (2011/2012 models), but this one is different, and I won't take it apart if I can't remove the flash storage.

So any kind of advice is more then welcomed

PCIe connector is glued to the tray.
just change the bottom tray with your friend.
