Hi,
I recently got a 2018 Mac mini and use my Hackintosh GPU RX 580 in a Razer Core X enclosure to enhance my GPU capabilities.
I have two displays and have had both displays connected to the eGPU, but since Plex is a bastard and wants to use 100% of the CPU when decoding HEVC video while playing, I connected the Plex display from the eGPU and use the HDMI port of the Mac mini.
Well, I now I do not a screensaver anymore. I only get the name of my Mac and the time, as the "Message" screensaver gets selected if I select FLURRY before.
It seems, Flurry cannot be used with such a split connection, Arabesque and Shell can be used. And many of the others too.
The Screen Saver preferences are displayed like this, if I select Flurry and then go to Desktop preferences and come back. Quitting Preferences helps and opening the Screen Saver preferences shows me, that the Message screen saver has been selected. Strange.
Any ideas?
