Hey guys,
I'm having the same issues as many, with mouse lag and the MM 2018. So, instead of waiting for Apple with a miracle fix, (I've also tried moving drives around, hubs, etc everywhere but unsuccessful) I decided to get a IOGear Bluetooth GBU521 Adapter and be done with this issue... Well, not yet.
I'm running Mojave 10.14.5 and my devices are the Magic Mouse 2 and the Magic Keyboard. I plug in the adapter and under System Prefs, under Hardware, USB, it does recognize the BT adapter. I open Apple's Bluetooth Explorer, clicked on "Tools" in the Menu and scroll down to HCI Controller Selector. I pick a host controller, it asks for my password, click Activate and then the mouse and keyboard stop working. I try connecting to them using Apple's Bluetooth in the menu but it terminates immediately. The info I get in Bluetooth Explorer's Status is below... I highlighted what I believe seems to be the issue.
Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks!
