Hi all,
I currently have an old Hackintosh setup that is chugging along. I built this rig aroundd 6 years whilst I was starting at University where I had ample spare time, and didn't worry if things broke as I could search the web for fixes. Unfortunately, nowadays with full time employment and life in general, I'm not sure if I want to go down the Hackintosh route again as I don't have a lot of spare time in the evenings, and don't want to necessarily always tinker about with things if they go wrong when upgrading etc, however saying that, I've priced up an i7-8700K, AMD 580 build with 500GB SSD and it's half the price of the top end Mac Mini, (without any GPU) so I'm still thinking about it! The Mac Mini would require an extra £250 outlay for the eGPU enclosure too.
That being said, I may still consider the Mac Mini due to the obvious ease of use and minimal worries about things crashing after simple updates. However, my questions are:
Thank you all.

That being said, I may still consider the Mac Mini due to the obvious ease of use and minimal worries about things crashing after simple updates. However, my questions are:
- Is the i7 6-core processor within the Mac-Mini a full CPU class processor with the normal TDP range?(asking after reading about the MBA shipping with a 7W CPU)
- Does Mac OS now natively support eGPUs using a TB3 eGPU?
- Can I bootcamp into Windows and still use the full power of a TB3 eGPU
- Due to the excessive prices of the Mac Mini SSD upgrades, I was thinking of getting a 512GB or maybe a 1TB SSD if I feel a bit richer over Christmas, however for my windows partition, which has a fair few games, could I buy a TB3 external HDD enclosure, slot a normal 500GB SATA SSD in there, use it to bootcamp into Windows and also use the TB3 eGPU natively?
Thank you all.
