Mac Mini 2018 - Samsung CJ890 43" Ultra-Wide

I have just ordered this monitor and am curious if anyone that has this setup is able to get the full resolution of 3840x1200 from using the Displayport to USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) connection?

The Mac Mini specs say it supports 4096-by-2160 resolution at 60Hz connected via HDMI 2.0, so it should work.

Sorry if this is a stupid question (I am sure it is, but I am not very familiar with technical specs) but based on what Chabig stated above, the mac mini should be able to handle 5120 x 1440 then, correct? Or am I totally wrong here? I am wanting to purchase the Dell 49" monitor and pair it with an i7 Mac Mini with 16GB of RAM.
