Just tried to upgrade my 1.82 GHz Intel Core Duo Mac mini RAM to 4 GB.
I bought 2x Corsair 2GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SODIMM Kits and put it into the machine.

When I turned on the machine, my monitor said "No signal" but there was a light on the computer and sound from the hard disk.

I have been reading on forums that my Mac do support 4 GB and also this type of Corsair memory, and the salesman also confirmed that.

So my question is: What could be wrong?
Is one of the memory broken, or any other ideas?

(I didnt demage anything during the upgrade, because everything was back to normal when I put in the old RAM again)

Mac mini's that shipped with a Core Duo (or Core Solo) will not boot with more than 2GB of RAM installed.

Only machines that shipped with a Core 2 Duo can see (and boot) the 4GB of RAM.

And yes a CD machine upgraded with a C2D still has the 2GB limit.
