Just bought a mac mini wooo anyway in using it as a media center but I'm having some problems connecting it to my 720p tv and 720p projector. First of all on tv it just looks awful colors washed out and everything seems way too big for the screen size I feel like for instance the finder bar at top of screen should be much smaller similar to how if looks on a 17 inch macboook pro. On the projector 720p looks great but again everything looks oversized. The colors and clarity are good but it just looks silly how big everything is. I'm going to try and mess with different resolutions on the projector but with the 22 hdtv I tried all with no luck. When for instance I set either to 1080p a the sizes of everything look correct but colors and clarity go out the window becausniether display supports that resolution. Does anyone have any thought on this?

Everything looks big because of the resolution - 17" macbook pro has a much higher resolution than 720p, you're just not used to it. Even a 13" macbook book has a higher resolution.

For the colors, go to system preferences -> displays -> color and change the color profile (Color LCD looked best on my friend's projector).

Yes, it has to do with the low 720p rez compared to the rez of a 17 inch macbook pro. You should try settting the dock zoom all the way down, and set the icon sizes all the way down in the System Preferences.
