Mac Mini and 30 inch Dell U3014

I have a 2012 late Mac Mini. and bought new Dell U3014 monitor but my resolution is stuck at 1920 x 1080 using Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter.

How to get optimal resolution 2560 x 1600. what adapter do I need to get Native resolution

1 Dual Link Digital Visual Interface connectors (DVI-D) with HDCP
1 DisplayPort 1.2 (DP)
1 Mini DisplayPort 1.2 (mDP)
1 High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)

You'll need a mini displayport cable, or mini displayport to regular displayport, both will do.

If you're using DVI you'll need the Dual-link MDP adapter

Have you tried just plugging it in with a thunderbolt cable? If your Dell has MDP input, I would think that would be the best way.

The U3014 does 2560x1600. And the 2012 Mini supports this resolution.

When you have the full resolution running, can you post a few sentences on your setup? How and for what you use it, how easy it is on the eyes long-term etc?

I've got a 2012 Mini myself and the U3014 is on my (naturally very short) list of displays to consider.
