Mac Mini and Apple TV issue

Every time we play a movie on the Mac Mini, it's automatically wants to play on the Apple TV. Is there a way to change this so it doesn't do this every time we play a movie on the Mini?

bottom right hand corner of itunes - change it to "computer". probably currently set to "appletv".

That's how I change it when i start the movie and it works, but when I watch a movie later it defaults to the Apple TV again and I have to do that change again.

So we played another movie tonight and again it defaults to Apple TV right away.

Check iTunes

iTunes has a little icon in the bottom right in the "silver space border." Click on it, and you should see <your computer name> and "apple tv." Make sure the check is by your computer name.

yep do this BEFORE you start to play your next movie, then play it and then stop. It will remember it then.
