Good evening MacRumors :)

Until the beginning of this year, I had almost no contact with Mac computers. Since small kid that I played/worked with computers, since a Spectrum, to several Windows and even some Linux releases. But never a Mac.
But now all that changed. This year I bought a MacBook Pro 13", an iPhone 4 and now a Mac Mini.

And it's the Mac Mini that brings me here. I bought it to use it, among other things, as a media center. I connected the Mac Mini to my HDTV, a Samsung C6000 40" through a HDMI cable. I thought that the things would appear bigger in the TV, but it's quite small. Is there any way of increase the size of the text and icons? I managed to increase the size of the icons in Finder and also the text size, but overall, everything is very small!!! :-( If I change the resolution I know I'll accomplish that, that I'll loose quality and the 1080p movies.

Thank you all and see you soon :)

Could you be a little more specific about what it looks like?

I assume that you have done a "detect displays" and selected 1920x1080 or 1280x720 or whatever the native resolution of the TV is? If not, you need to start there.

Then, you have to decide if you want bigger fonts, or, do you want to sit closer to the TV than probably normal TV distance.
