OK. I have a Mac Mini G4 (1.42) running 10.5.1. I need to get this device connected to me wireless network. The device cant have a airport connected in it as theres no Daughter Board etc, and i cant get hold of one if i could the costs will be around £100. I have tried 2 usb adapters but they all use terrible drivers/software and are very antiquated, you have to manually connect to the wireless network every time you boot the device up. My airport extreme is to far away to run an ethernet cable to the device. Any one got any ideas. PLEASE...........:(

Have a look for a suitable wireless access point/bridge which will connect to your Mini via ethernet and give access to your wireless network.

It's been ages since I used one so the model I had is probably out of production. Best bet is to have a lok at brands such as Belkin, D-link and so on.

The key thing is that you need to make sure that the unit can be used to connect a wired computer to a wireless network, and not just a wireless computer to a wired network.

Others may chip in with some product recommendations.

Isn't this the perfect use of an Airport Express?

Also any of the travel routers with Ethernet ports should do.

How much is the wireless bit out of my dead G4 worth?
