Hi, I am planning to hook my Mac Mini upto my LG tv this weekend (37LG7000). DVI to HDMI cable for the video signal, and a 3.5mm single audio cable into the back of the TV for the audio..

What would the sound quality be like? Will it be ok? I know i wont get surround sound or anything.. but hopefully it will still be crisp audio...

Gee,

The sound from the Mini will probably be the about the same as the sound from the LCD TV speakers that is heard when watching a broadcast.

So, since the both the Mini, and the LCD TV, probably, can output 5.1 Dolby audio signals from TV/Cable broadcasts and DVD discs, you might want to consider a 5.1/Digital sound system if you want better sound. They're reasonably priced these days.

Peace to you,
C. Livingstone

If your TV has an optical input (Toslink) that will provide you the best signal. Of course, you can't get digital surround without content that has it and a system that can decode it.
