Hello,

Does anyone know how long it typically takes Amazon to ship newly launched Apple products? Right now it's available for pre-order, but I don't want to order it from them and get it 1-2 months later.

I called Amazon and they said it can take 1-2 months, but I think that's their default answer.

I ordered one from Amazon a few minutes ago, I'm assuming it'll ship in a couple days... they are generally very fast. Plus, no tax, no shipping, it was well worth it.

I'll reply again when I get the "shipped" email.

Where'd you order from on Amazon, because I don't see it.

We're watching this too. It looks like the high end Mac mini is already available there so the lower end can't be far behind.

They also have the last generation mini for about $100-$150 off.

Now I'm just waiting for them to get a good deal on the DDR3 RAM.

Speaking of Amazon has anybody seen the new iMacs there yet? i looked but don't see them anywhere. Thanks.

It's been awhile since I purchased a new Mac so I can't remember if BTO options (like adding the 4850 card to the latter two new iMacs) are only available when ordering directly from Apple? If not, then clearly better deals on the new iMacs could be had elsewhere (like Amazon) because there would be no sales tax to pay. But being that we're talking about Apple here I bet it's Apple or nothing for BTOs. Anybody know? Thanks.
