Anyone have a home security video system that is run from their Mac Mini. If so what cameras are you using and software?

Dedicating a Mac Mini as a security camera DVR isn't very cost effective.

Take a look at Synology's NAS devices. They have IP security camera software and upgrades.

Look at SecuritySpy for a Mac software solution. I have not use it but have read about it.

For security cameras you want to get Axis cameras. I have deployed 150+ Axis cameras and can praise them enough. Security cameras and security systems is one area where you get what you pay for.

Much more cost effective than lots of the alternatives. FYI: Nothing about security cameras or security systems is cost effective. A Mac Mini can be gotten for $600, seems cost effective enough to me.
