A friend is having a problem with his 1 month old mac mini. Its the top spec mini, and was brand new when he bought it.
Here is the problem,
On the whole it runs fine except that for no apparent reason (it will happen once every few days) when he resets or turns on the Mac Mini it will chime and keep chiming forever and not load. He then holds down the power button and then turns it on again and it boots perfectly.
this has only happened since the recent EFI firmware update....
I have read elswher ethat he could be holding the power button too long, then it doesn't startup...instead, it beeps 4 times, then begins a 4-flash sequence of the power light. sounds and looks like something is terribly wrong.
I havent witnessed this problem but thought someone here may have heard of/seen/encountered it or even found a solution to the issue???
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
