Mac mini buying advice

Guys,
I have got a mac mini covered by AppleCare, i've also got keyboard, mouse and display covered by the same AppleCare , since they were purchased together.

If i buy a new Mac mini and AppleCare, can I register the keyboard, mouse and thunderbolt display with the new AppleCare?

Or another option would be transfer the old AppleCare coverage to the new mini, that way, the keyboard and display will still be covered. Does it work the way?

1. Nope...However, since you already have the keyboard, mouse and thunderbolt display covered by the current applecare, you will be all set if something goes wrong with them.

2. Nope....Applecare cannot be transferred to another system. Must buy another.

Here's some advice; make sure you buy tons of extra RAM. I genuinely feel sorry for you if you plan on using the mini with the measly 2GB installed. It will feel like you travelled back in time to 1983 and you are using an old IBM machine. I would go for 8GB at a bare minimum.

I do agree that you should get as much RAM as possible, it always helps...
But to say that 8GB is a bare minimum is such an overstatement...
If you plan on doing some heavy video editing it is... Otherwise 4GB is enough for everyday use.
Often I see here that people use 16 or even 24 GB of RAM for everyday use, and say that is absolutely necessary... It is not!
That is a myth... More RAM is always useful, but to say that you absolutely need anything more than 4GB for everyday use... Not true.

you are better off keeping the mini you have. the display is costly and if you sell off the mini you have you will lose applecare as the applecare follows the mini.
