Mac Mini CD drive

All,

I've noticed when I play dvds in my mac mini the drive making a VERY loud noice. It's almost like a screeching sound. Is this normal or does it sound like the drive needs to be replaced? If it is the latter, where can I find/purchase a replacement cd drive?
