Hi
Ive had my mac mini early 2009 from new and have already upgraded the HDD and upgraded the RAM from standard 2gb to 5gb (one 4gb and one 1gb) Which worked like a dream, although i do know your suppose to put in matching pairs this didn't cause a problem, however, when i did the next upgrade and put in another 4gb of RAM (an exact match as the other already installed) my mac now freezes after its been asleep for a while? really have no ideas why?
i have checked my mac for compatibility and many others swear the 8gb works fine in theirs???? i Have also tried downloading the EFI update 1.2 but this was already installed as I'm running lion? I'm now at a loss and if anybody can help you will be an ultimate LEGEND!
Cheers

I imagine you got some bad ram. Try each stick with the 1 GB stick and see if the problem persists.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)

What brand of of ram?

Either bad ram, or bad match.

I've upgraded ram about 50 times and it has never failed (a miracle? )

Actually, I always think it will :D

Cheers for all the advice, it turns out it was bad RAM but have got a replacement! :)
