Heya

i am using a mac mini with a NAS attached via ethernet.

On the Mac Mini finder , the Nas is shown but when using other Macs the NAS is not shown under Shared.

I can see the Mac mini but not the mounted drives.

Pls help.

do you mean, a NAS connected to a router/switch and accessed by mini it works. but not when you try to access the same storage with an other computer, also connected to that same (wireless router/switch)?

or did you connect the NAS directly to the mini?

I don't know a lot about using a NAS so I don't know if this will work. You might try to add the NAS to the list of items/folders being shared by the Mini.

What are the other machines you are using to connect to the NAS? Are they connecting via ethernet or wifi?

Nope, the Nas is directly connected to the ethernet port of the mac mini.
And it is detected by the mac mini.

The mac mini connected wireless to my home network, not direct connection.

In my other mac, also wireless connected, under Shared i can see the Mac mini but not the NAS.

How do i make the NAs as a shared items?

And my entire household is wireless.
And i am using an IMac ......as a main PC and the mac mini as media centre/xbmc ....
