Mac mini does not support 64-bit?

Apparently, it does not (tried to switch it myself with no avail, and then found http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3770)

Any ideas why not? Or "just because"?

I'm using mini with Mac OS X Server, if that matters.

it looks like it's "just because" for now and hope that'll change in the future.
