Mac Mini DVi Sound output Capability?

Hi all,
Does the DVI port on the back of the current Mac Minis support Sound? It does not show in the sound preferences. Is there a hack to get sound through the DVI. I am trying to hook up my Mini using one cable (HDMI) instead of using the computer port and running two cables.

DVI is video only, not audio. For digital audio you need to use the optical port.
