Hello, since a few months I have a Mac Mini core duo 2.0 GHz. I want to use it as an media-centre. However as soon as I start coverflow, front row or any media application which uses graphical power the fan speeds up to 5500 rpm. The core temperature at that moment is not more then around 30 to 35 degrees celcius. When using other applications the core temp can rise to 50 degrees while the fan stays at 1500 rpm (default).

I tried resetting the SMC controller, a fresh install of Snow leopard and cleaning the fan and airflow-channels but nothing worked.:(

Does anyone have had the same problem and solved it?

Regards Rob
