I have my Mac Mini attached to a 42" LCD screen. I used this "recosable fastener" and it has been like that for a week.

I just came into teh room and saw the mac mini on the floor and I thought: I didn't leave it there?

Then I realized the thing felt from the rear of the screen at 6 feet high to the floor made of concrete!!!!!

Oh damn!!!! it was a week old or so!!!

I tried to power it back on and nothing, I swear I prayed and I pushed the button again and it started up!

Is working just fine. The recosable fastener still attached to the screen, the glue that stick to the mac mini was weak. It took a week to felt like that.

But the good news is that tyhe computer is just fine, just a minor scratch but I am so glad the hard drive is fine as well the entire box. That little thing just passed the test.

Six feet?! That is amazing. Just to be safe I would keep watch of the hard drive's S.M.A.R.T. status. It should indicate if it is having problems.

I may end up buying a Mini yet.
:)

Great story, glad it all turned out ok. But just to repeat what another poster said, I would definitely keep an eye on the SMART status for a little while.

That is incredible. Your God must love you dearly, or Mac Minis are indestructible

Thats another reason we have to paying more for apple products

Some might disagree but to me Apple is quality. Dropped my touch many...many.....and many times. Some on Concrete some on wooded floor.

Nothing wrong.

Woahser that sucks man. Glad the mini is still kicking.

Yeah, surprised it didnt crack open or something

Awsome story! I have one too!

Yesterday i was having dinner with my girlfriend. I was checking todays weather on my macbook as we were talking, and when i was done i shut the lid and put the macbook in the bookshelf behind me. At the same time my girlfriend leaned over to get more salad and tipped over her glass of wine, and wine spilled out all over the table - JUST WHERE MY MACBOOK HAD BEEN SITTING JUST MOMENTS BEFORE!! If the macbook still had been there it WOULD HAVE GOTTEN WINE ALL OVER IT!

Needless to say i prayed my thanks to god after this.

I literally kicked my PowerBook G3 off the chair by accident the other day...don't ask me how that happened.

Still working thankfully :)

My touch once fell out of my pocket while riding my bike at probably 15-20mph. has two small scratches and thats it. I was terrified.

The screen is placed on a wall in my post production studio and the mini is attached behind it. Is working just fine.

I doubt God gives a crap about any of this materialistic obsession exhibited here at Macrumors.
