Hey everybody. After convincing my mother for months, she finally purchased a new Mac Mini when the Nvidia ones first came out. It was fine for a while, until it started to freeze upon waking up. When I say freeze, I mean that when waking from sleep, the desktop would load and I would be able to move the mouse but there would be no response to any clicks or keyboard interactions. This became more frequent as time went on, and applications also began to freeze along with it.

After talking to Apple support, I preformed an erase and install and the freezing issue still occurred. Finally I brought the computer into an Apple Store where they replaced the machine with a brand new one.

This one ran for about a week perfectly, until the same issue presented itself again. It had the same symptoms, but this time upon rebooting, a window appeared searching for a bluetooth mouse and keyboard. The set that my mother uses is a Logitech USB wireless pair that has a single USB receiver. Strangely enough, when I plugged in another USB mouse the window went away and everything was fine. As a precaution I replaced all the batteries and hoped that everything would be OK.

Well yesterday my mother went to wake up her computer when the same issue appeared, and when she restarted it (by holding the power button down), it would not recognize her keyboard and mouse again. At this point I am really confused as to what the issue may be. Could this be a hardware issue, or possibly a problem with the keyboard and mouse set?

Any help is appreciated because I'd rather not have to deal with Apple support again only to possibly achieve the same results. Thanks :)
