My mac Mini is stuck during the login window starting phase of boot up.

any suggestions?

I'm still new to macs and not sure how to get it to boot up all the way.

im trying the safe boot now but its stuck in the same spot.

no changes or updates recently. last night i unplugged the ethernet cord and when i plugged it back in my internet connection wouldnt work. I couldnt get it to work again so i turned off the computer. this morning it wouldnt boot.

Unplug everything that's not essential. Unplug the network cable, printer etc. Just leave keyboard, mouse and screen plugged in. :)

Yeah, ten minutes is potentially about right. If it lasts much longer then I'd start worrying.
