Mac Mini G4 upgrade to intel

Sorry I am new to mac and I think I am pretty sure the answer is no but, is it possible to upgrade the processor on a G4 mac mini to an intel based? If so would I need to replace the motherboard as well?

No. The internals are completely different. Sell the G4 and buy a cheap older Intel mini.

It is not possible. The only way to get Intell Inside® is to upgrade your Mac to a newer Intell based one.

The only common pieces are the lid and the IDE optical drive.

Everything else, including the internal chassis is different.
