My Mac Mini which is just under/about 1 year old has started making a clicking sound, it sounds to me like its the hard drive making it.

It only does it occasionally when it been left on for a few days, but when it starts clicking it does it continuously about every 3 seconds and it can be stopped if shut down and left for a few minutes before rebooting.

Does this mean that my hard drive is on its way out and should I send it back to be repaired?

Thanks for any help,
Seb

Sounds like it is failing. Did you do a diagnostic on it? Does SMART say it's failing?
