Ok, I just today received my ministack V3. I want to mod the mini so i can use an eSata cable and boot OSX from it. Ive seen some mods online after a google search here and there about getting sata plugs, running a sata cable externally like this:

But then I came across this, made by the same company:

What i was thinking was to just use one cable, unscrew it and use a dremel to nicely cut a slot where the Kensington slot is, then connect the drive. Thoughts?

You've pretty much done all of the research already. It's just carrying the mod out now. It's up to you how creative you want to be getting that SATA cable out or just going eSATA.
