Mac mini HDD

ok is i want to get a mac mini as a computer for my room and use it like an apple tv to stream media from my iMac. I am thinking i may want a bigger HDD so i was wondering should i buy the base HDD and upgrade myself or jut pay the cost?

I would pay or get an external drive.

yeah thats what i was thinking

i really dont want to pay 50 bucks for ram from apple so i was gonna pop in an extra 1GB stick to make it 2 GB so i figured wile i was in there

I have an external hard drive for my mac mini which streams to the TV
I think you will be happy with it.

If you take your time, opening up a mini and upgrading them is not that hard especially if you get a good tool to open the case up.
