I just got the newest version of the Mac Mini in the mail today. I just ran all the updates.

However, I am having issues with the display. I am connecting directly via HDMI to a 34" curved Viotek monitor. The display looks good for a random amount of time, then all of a sudden you get the popcorn-like screen (like an antenna channel with no signal) that can stay for a random amount of time, then it will revert back correctly. It simply just keeps doing this randomly. Is there a fix for this, etc.?

I have used this display recently with a MacBook Air, Dell, and Chromebook without any issues, so I don't believe it's the monitor or the cable.

Have you tried connecting the display via USB-C (Thunderbolt 3)? There are problems with HDMI on the Mac Minis. Sort of hit and miss as to whether it will work. Many threads about issues with external displays on the new Minis.

I will try that out and see what happens.
