Mac Mini HDMI --> Displayport (not mini DP)

I'd like to connect a 2012 Mac Mini to a HP Compaq LA2405wg w/DisplayPort.

I've looked at a couple of cables from NewEgg, but I don't know if passive / active is a factor.

Do these look right? Or does anyone know of a cable that definitely does work?

Check Monoprice, but odds are, you're going to need some kind of adapter. Why wouldn't you just use a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable, though? Why are you trying to go HDMI out?

I've got an Apple Display connected to the Thunderbolt port.
