hi there, i am looking at selling up my current mac mini for a imac g5 with the isight, and was wondering
1. is the speed alot different.
2.what different ports does the imac have
3. can i upgrade the graffics card on the imac

1. As you don't say what sort of clock speeds we are looking at it's difficult to say, but it should be significantly faster
2. As per the Mini it has Firewire and USB ports for expansion. It has not internal expansion (PCI, AGP or PCI Express) capabilities. It does have the option for internal RAM expansion.
3. NO. It's soldered to the logic board.

Well you could do your own research!

According to the XBench site the Mac Mini G4 scores around 40 and the iMac G5 1.9 scores around 70.

it will depend on what you are using the machine for. If you are simply browsing the web and using iTunes you'll probably no see much difference. If you are using iMovie a lot or other CPU intensive tasks the it'll be a good step up.
