Hi,

This is my first time posting here.

I imagine this question has come up several times but I've been unable to find the answer to the problem.

I got the Mini Display Port to HDMI Adapter from monoprice.com, I hooked that up to the Mini Display Port, then hooked up a 10ft HDMI cable to the TV.

I turned on the Mac Mini (the Intel version without the HDMI output, obviously) and then turned on the TV and switched to the appropriate input.

I still have my old monitor hooked up to the DVI port and that still works, and on the TV, I see the old screen that the Mac Mini came with (you know, the deep blue sky with starts with the big purple super nova in the middle).

So, it looks like it's connected and working, but just displaying that.

What do I have to do to make the TV the main screen?

Thanks!

System Preferences -> Displays -> Drag the Menu Bar from the current main display to the TV
Awesome!

Thanks so much!

I was playing around and saw that my TV is now my secondary display but still didn't know how to use it.

This is great!
Thanks again!
