I have a new mac mini. I am having some airport issues (another topic) so it is connected to my Airport network through an ethernet cable connected to an Airport Express.

Everything runs fine. I have internet connection, i can see the hard drives attached to my Airport Extreme, i can print to a usb printer on another Airport Express.

But when I open up iTunes, under devices, neither of my aTVs show up. I've tried restarting the aTVs and the Mac mini, but nothing. they just don't show up So I can't sync or stream content.

However, I can send audio to both aTVs via Air tunes. This works seamlessly.

Any thoughts?

Silly question, but have you setup the aTV to connect to itunes? Like, did you enter in the pincode from the aTV into iTunes? On your aTV you go to Settings---Computers---Connect to iTunes Library. Then it gives you a pincode that you enter into iTunes.

Davgregregory has a good thought.

What I can't understand in our description is how you have your mac mini attached to your airport express via ethernet.

How have you got that setup to work?
