I have a 1.66 Ghz Mac Mini w/512 Megs of RAM and I thought about putting Leopard on it. However, when I try, it tells me "Mac OS X cannot be installed on this computer." Is it because my RAM is low? It says I need 512 and I have that.

Is it a genuine retail copy of OSX? Or grey system restore disks off eBay? If it's the latter they will only work on the exact type of Mac they originally shipped with...

They are restore disks which I got with my Mac Mini at work and I wanted to try it at home. So I need the retail version? Okay, that works. Thanks!

Leopard definitely runs on a mini, I've loaded on a 1.25G4 mini.

Ya I wasn't worried about the disks not working, I was worried that for some reason my Mac Mini wasn't supported. But those fears are gone now and it gives me an excuse to go the Apple Store :)
