Alright... so I bought my Mac Mini as a media center of sorts last year.. all well and good. Earlier in the week, I finally broke down and upgraded to Leopard. I liked it, but the computer was running a little slower, so I figured it was time to upgrade from 1gb to 2gb of ram. Ordered the ram, got here yesterday... woke up this morning and went to go put it in.
Followed the directions verbatim that I found online... got the thing open and... well... I got the wrong ram. So, a little annoyed, I hook everything back up... throw on the power cord and .. nothing.
I get the white power indicator light comes on for 5-6 seconds... something spinning- I'm assuming the hard drive or DVD drive... and then it just powers down.
I've checked every connection... it's all hooked up properly.
I looked up my problem on Google.. couldn't really find anything, but I did find out how to reset the PRAM... so I do that... and now the indicator light doesn't light up and either the hard drive or DVD drive spins as fast as it can until I shut the power down.
I've worked around computers all my life, but this is my first mac. I'm sure I messed something up here, but I'd like to have a good idea at what it is before I have to start looking at repairing it-- or worse, taking it somewhere to be repaired... everything's so tiny, I don't feel comfortable working on it anymore, at all.
Any advice?
