I have a Mac Mini 1.63 GHz Core Duo. I have seen that the max memory it can handle is 2 GB is it possible to have like 2.5 GB of memory or will the system not allow it?
Pretty sure there are reports that anything bigger than 1GB memory stick will cause a no-boot. So not only is 2GB the limit, but it has to be in 2 1GB sticks.
This is for the Core Duo machines, the Core 2 Duo machines can handle more.
I changed the link to Patriot ram from Newegg. You would have to buy two of these sticks but for the reason for changing is that I have used Patriot ram in several of my Macs and it just works period. This is exactly what you need and you can max out your Mac Mini for only 37 bucks !!!
