Mac Mini Mid 2010 RAM Question

Hi guys,

We are setting up a Mid 2010 mini as build server for a small iOS project. It is running Yosemite (10.10.1) and needs to run Xcode 6 / OS X server so we can set up build bots.

The project is strapped for money so just wanted to check if you can run a single 4gb DIMM for now, with the option of a second 4gb DIMM later if need be ?

Its rocking 2GB right now so it desperately needs at least 4gb to be able to function properly.

Yes, but you could also replace one of the 1GB modules with the 4GB module, giving you a total of 5GB. Then replace the other 1GB module at a later time.
