Mac Mini & Onkyo 607 receiver

I was messing around with the mini and I noticed that the top menu bar was white instead of translucent.

That led me to the conclusion that CI and QE was not working.

So it seems that the receiver is not just acting as a switch but doing something to the image. When I go to displays it shows the receiver and not the display.

Anyone else experience this? Maybe there is a setting on the receiver to just switch it?
