Alright I just got a new mac min which has a large dvi port on the back, so I hooked it up to my tv and it worked because I plugged in the dvi to s-video adapter into the computer and by default it was set to Ntsc.

So everything worked fine and then a buddy of mine was messing around with the displays prefs while it was plugged into the tv and he changed it to pal using the adjustments tab in displays and of course the tv went all screwie.
SO I figured that if i just plug in the display adapter in for my monitor (which is different than the dvi to svideo) And go to displays thinking it was still there and the tab for adjustments (i think, I havn't seen it in awhile) is not there any more.
The only way to get it to come back up is if you plug in the dvi adapter which you cant see anything out of...

SO I call apple and they didn't help me at all...so I was wondering if anyone could help me!

Do you have an HDTV at all? Many of these can do both NTSC and PAL, so you could see to switch back to NTSC for use on the regular TV. Otherwise, you might be able to see enough through the scrolling messiness to find the setting and get it back. Have you tried staring at it for awhile?

The settings are gone when plugged into a PC monitor since you are in a different mode, maybe you knew that.

Yeah man thanks for the advice...i didn't even think of using a hdtv...and i am using a pc monitor..it uses a different adapter...I just saved all my stuff on my ipod and did a archive reinstall and didn't save the users and it worked..Thanks for the help anyway!:D
