Mac mini poor video quality via HDMI

Hello,

I'm using a late 2014 Mac mini (1,4 ghz version) with an ASUS VN247HA monitor. My video playing quality is quite poor via HDMI cable, especially with dark colors. Does anyone have the same issue? Image below, taken by phone.
