I've got a Mac Mini G4, with an 85W power adapter. The adapter recently broke due to a flood in my house, and the power adapter being on the floor....
I see that Apple ships a separate power adapter of 110W for the Mini.
Would this 110W version be ok to use with the G4 mini, does it have the same connector that goes in the back of the mini?

Thanks!:apple:

It does have the same connection.

But you'd be much better off with another 85W adaptor. Check on ebay. They are often listed there and for much cheaper than a new one from Apple.

I have both and the G4 will run off of the 110W supply (but the intel will not boot off the G4 85W supply).

Will a 110w Power Supply work on a G4 mini?

I have a 1.83 Intel mac mini that wont start. It doesn't even attempt to start just sits there much like an eight pound paper weight. I am trying to determine if this is an issue with the Power supply or something more. I only have one Intel mini, but another G4 mini. I tired to start the G4 mini off the Intel, 110w, power supply and nothing happens.

Anyone know for sure if the older G4 mini's that ran off an 85w power supply should in fact start when a 110w power supply is used?

If it should that would help me determine weather I could just replace this power supply or if I have to attempting something more drastic.

Thanks
