Hey guys (and gals) -
I just had a quick question about my little Mac Mini. I am currently running with 512MB of RAM, but would love to knock that up to 1GB. I have been toying with the idea for a little bit, but things are running fine for me now (especially since I quit playing WoW), so it's hard for me to justify the $90 or whatever. Looking on dealmac.com today, though, I saw a 1GB stick for only $35 after two rebates (I can wait the month or two to get the money back), and that makes it hard not to justify getting the upgrade!
Could someone who knows more about the finer points of RAM than I do please verify for me that this RAM would work in my little Mini? I see that most of the memory on dealram.com for the Mini is PC2700, but that there is at least one PC3200 in there. My understanding is that this RAM would work just fine, but would not have its full speed utilized? Am I way off here?
Thanks for you help.

/bump in hopes of a response (only have until the 4th to buy at this price)

No one has an idea about this? Or are all the people who know still at work and the sort of good employee that doesn't surf online on the company's time? Should I try to get this thread moved to 'Buying Tips' or any other forums? Anything?

Thanks.

I couldn't find enough info on the ram to be sure.

It needs to have at least these stats.

DDR PC2700 • CL=2.5 • UNBUFFERED • NON-ECC • DDR333 • 2.5V • 128Meg x 64

That said I think the CL can also be 2 or 3 and I am not sure that the 128Megx64 is important.

Even if it matches there is no guarantee that it will place nicely as Apples tend to be picky about the quality of there ram.
