Hey all, I was looking into buying a Mac Mini or a Mac Pro seeing as I have a great HDTV to use as a screen. After deciding my budget, the Mac Pro is out of reach so I look into the Mac Minis.

Anyone else find it weird how the Mac Minis use i5/i7 dual core but not i5/i7 quad core? In my opinion, it'd be sweet as heck to have a Mac Mini with the specs of the i7 quad imac am I right? :confused:

Also, I'm looking to buy a mini to use for schoolwork, programming and some gaming like starcraft II and diablo III. Should I just wait for the next refresh?
 
Since the Mac mini always used parts the iBook or MacBook and 13" MacBook Pro used, notebook parts, it always was that "lowly" specced.
